Michael Scappa

Michael Scappa is an Operating Partner at Level Equity, focused on accelerating product, engineering, and artificial intelligence initiatives across the firm’s portfolio. He partners with management teams to strengthen technology organizations, modernize software development, and identify practical opportunities to apply AI across products and internal operations.

Michael brings more than 20 years of experience building and leading product and technology organizations in growth-stage software companies. Most of his leadership roles have spanned both product and engineering, giving him an integrated perspective on product strategy, technology execution, and organizational design. Most recently, he led product, engineering, and AI at Limble, where he oversaw the modernization of the company’s core platform, launched its first native mobile application, and improved the scale and efficiency of its research and development organization. Earlier in his career, Michael held senior product and technology leadership roles at ISSA, Real Life Sciences, and Diligent.

During his time at Diligent, Michael worked closely with the corporate development team and was involved in more than 15 transactions, helping evaluate acquisition targets and shape post-acquisition product and technology strategy. He joined Diligent through its acquisition of BoardEffect, a Level Equity portfolio company that he helped build from its early stages.

Throughout his career, Michael has worked across product strategy, software engineering, data, AI, M&A, and organizational transformation, with a particular focus on helping growing software companies translate technology investment into measurable business outcomes.
