Special Operator, GTM

Sam Miller

Sam brings more than two decades of experience as a revenue and commercial growth executive, including leadership roles in large-scale public and private equity-backed technology businesses. As a Special Operator in the NextLevel Operations talent ecosystem, Sam’s primary role is to accelerate portfolio company growth by supporting their CEOs and commercial leaders in building, optimizing, and transforming go-to-market and revenue operations functions.

Sam joined the Special Operators program in 2026, after serving as Chief Revenue Officer of ECi Software Solutions, a Level Equity portfolio company. ECi is an industry-specific global cloud/SaaS ERP provider serving small and medium-sized businesses across multiple verticals. During his tenure, Sam led the company’s commercial transformation, with responsibility across go-to-market strategy, revenue operations, customer growth, and commercial execution. He was also part of the leadership team that supported diligence and integration efforts across more than thirty acquisitions, helping expand the company’s footprint, enter new verticals, and strengthen platform value.

Prior to ECi, Sam spent eighteen years at Dell Technologies, where he rose to Senior Vice President of North America Commercial Sales. In that role, he led a large-scale revenue organization serving public and commercial customers across North America. During his time at Dell, he was part of the company’s evolution from a publicly traded business through its privatization with Silver Lake and the subsequent combination with EMC and VMware. He was responsible for driving growth and contribution margin expansion across direct inside sales, indirect channel partnerships, and customer lifecycle programs.

Sam is also the co-founder of Spare Hand Students, a father-son business he launched with his son, Zach. Spare Hand Students is a marketplace platform connecting college students with local homeowners for household services and odd jobs, and today supports a growing network of more than 15,000 students and customers. For Sam, the business is both personal and entrepreneurial — an opportunity to work alongside Zach to build and scale something meaningful, while creating real work opportunities for students and delivering trusted help to local communities.
